Do Brow Lifts Look Natural?

Do Brow Lifts Look Natural?

Sagging, wrinkling, and fine lines in the forehead are among the top aging-related concerns. A brow lift can help turn those issues around, giving you a smoother, more youthful appearance — if you work with a qualified professional.

At our offices in Scarsdale and the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York, board-certified cosmetic surgeon Robert M. Schwarcz, MD, uses special brow lift techniques to ensure natural-looking results you’re pleased with.

What happens during a brow lift

During your brow lift surgery, Dr. Schwarcz makes small incisions in your scalp, either behind or under your hairline. He uses an endoscope with a camera to view tissues within your forehead.

He carefully lifts or removes sagging tissue to create a sleeker, smoother, more eyes-open look. He may use dissolvable endotines to hold your eyebrows in a higher place during the process to ensure your finished brows end up in the optimal position.

Natural-looking brow lift results

When a surgeon performs a brow lift correctly, it usually creates a more open look around your eyes and relieves the heaviness that can appear from drooping brows and eyelids. You should expect to look more vibrant and rested without having a “deer-in-the-headlights” look.

Dr. Schwarcz draws on his vast experience and training to tailor each procedure, ensuring that your results suit your face and goals in realistic and complimentary ways. An effective brow lift seems to turn back the clock on facial aging that’s made you look tired, sad, or angry from a sagging forehead.

Did you have a brow lift that didn’t go as you’d hoped? In a revision procedure, Dr. Schwarcz can correct asymmetry or other issues to help achieve the results you desire.

Brow lift alternatives

A brow lift is a permanent procedure, which many of our patients deeply appreciate. If you’re on the fence, however, you may want to consider a more temporary option. In addition to cosmetic surgery, our team offers less invasive treatments that address aging brow concerns.

Botox® injections, for example, temporarily paralyze muscles in the treatment area for reduced fine lines and wrinkles. Results typically last for several months. Facial fillers can also help by immediately adding volume to areas of your face such as sunken-in temples. Filler results may last 8-20 months, depending on the line of filler and the area being treated.

Or, if you’re primarily concerned about your eye area, you may be a good candidate for eyelid blepharoplasty, also known as an eyelid lift. This surgical procedure reduces puffiness and sagging skin around your eyes. In some cases, Dr. Schwarcz may recommend a blepharoplasty in combination with a brow lift to achieve a better result.

Dr. Schwarcz's work is highly regarded for its natural-looking results. To learn more about brow lifts or get started with your desired treatment, call our office to book a consultation today. You can also request an appointment online.
