Skin Cancer Treatment

Dr. Robert Schwarcz also has extensive experience in Mohs surgery, a specialized way of removing skin cancer where the least amount of non-cancerous tissue is excised while allowing for all the microscopic cancer cells to be removed. It is performed by detailed mapping and onsite microscopic exam of the removed skin. The defect is immediately reconstructed to allow for the most aesthetic outcome. The Mohs technique allows for a 95% cure rate and is the procedure of choice for many people who suffer from skin cancer. It is an effective procedure we are proud to offer in our New York offices. Our practice can treat a variety of cancers, including basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and melanoma.

Skin cancer can be a frightening experience. If it is tracked and identified early on, it can be eliminated and removed via surgery. Even if the skin cancer is presented on one's face, there are enhanced methods of removal to preserve healthy skin and tissue and only get rid of the cancerous cells. Dr. Schwarcz is an experienced cosmetic surgeon who takes skin cancer treatment very seriously. The treatment and removal of said cancer is a time sensitive manner to prevent the cancer from spreading elsewhere. Also, pre-cancerous lesions can be a warning signal of pending skin cancer.
