FACETITE IN NYC

Refine, Tighten, and Rejuvenate—Without a Traditional Facelift

As we age, the skin loses elasticity, collagen production slows, and fat begins to shift or accumulate in unwanted areas. The result? Jowls, loose skin along the jawline, and diminished facial definition. While a traditional facelift remains the gold standard for severe laxity, not everyone is ready—or needs—surgery to achieve a younger, more sculpted look. That’s where FaceTite in NYC offers a game-changing solution.

FaceTite is a minimally invasive procedure that harnesses the power of radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis (RFAL) to tighten skin, contour the face, and reduce stubborn fat—all in one session. Performed by Dr. Robert Schwarcz, a double board-certified oculofacial plastic surgeon with offices on the Upper East Side of Manhattan and in Rye, NY, FaceTite delivers transformative results with less downtime than traditional surgery. It’s the perfect bridge between non-invasive treatments and full surgical correction, offering dramatic tightening and contouring for the right candidate.

What Is FaceTite?

FaceTite is an advanced facial rejuvenation treatment that uses radiofrequency energy to gently heat the underlying tissues of the face, stimulating collagen production, contracting skin, and melting small pockets of fat. Through a small, hidden incision, a tiny cannula delivers heat below the skin’s surface while a sensor on the outside monitors temperature in real time. This dual-layer heating process tightens the skin from the inside out, resulting in a firmer, more youthful appearance.

Unlike traditional facelifts, FaceTite doesn’t involve pulling, cutting away large areas of skin, or repositioning muscles. It’s best suited for individuals with mild to moderate skin laxity who want to firm the jawline, reduce a double chin, or address early jowling—all with a single treatment and minimal disruption to their routine.

Because the results build gradually and are long-lasting, FaceTite is often called the “non-surgical facelift.” However, it does require sedation anesthesia and incisions, so while it’s less invasive than a facelift, it’s still a surgical procedure—just one with faster recovery and fewer risks for the right patient.

How It Works

FaceTite uses a technology called RFAL (radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis) to deliver heat to both the skin and the underlying fat and connective tissues. A thin probe is inserted beneath the skin through a tiny incision, often located just below the chin or behind the ears. As the internal probe delivers thermal energy, a matching electrode on the surface of the skin tracks temperature to ensure safe, consistent results.

The heat causes two things to happen simultaneously. First, it melts small pockets of fat, which are then gently suctioned out using a microcannula. Second, and more importantly, it stimulates the contraction of collagen and elastin fibers, initiating a firming process that continues for up to 12 months after treatment. Over time, the skin becomes smoother, tighter, and more youthful-looking, all without the appearance of being pulled or overdone.

FaceTite allows Dr. Schwarcz to precisely sculpt and define areas like the jawline, lower cheeks, and neck with minimal trauma to surrounding tissues. It’s especially effective for patients who are noticing laxity but aren’t yet ready for a full facelift.

Benefits of FaceTite

What makes FaceTite such a standout in the world of facial aesthetics is the unique combination of fat reduction and skin tightening—something that many non-invasive treatments cannot achieve simultaneously. It offers the ability to reshape the face and rejuvenate the skin in one session, with results that continue to improve over time.

Patients love that FaceTite:

  • Targets multiple concerns in one treatment—sagging, fat accumulation, and laxity

  • Requires only a few small incisions that heal without visible scarring

  • Has minimal downtime compared to a traditional facelift

  • Stimulates collagen for continued skin improvement over the course of a year

  • Offers a more natural look without abrupt changes to your appearance

It’s the ideal option for people who want visible improvement but aren’t ready for extensive surgery—or who want to maintain previous surgical results with a lower-impact refresh.

Who Is a Good Candidate?

FaceTite is best suited for patients in their late 30s to early 60s with mild to moderate skin laxity in the lower face and neck. If you’ve started to notice a soft jawline, early jowls, or heaviness under the chin but still have good skin quality, you may be an excellent candidate.

Ideal patients are healthy nonsmokers with realistic expectations. During your consultation, Dr. Schwarcz will evaluate your skin, bone structure, fat distribution, and facial balance to determine whether FaceTite can achieve your desired goals. In cases where laxity is more severe, he may recommend a traditional facelift or neck lift instead.

How the Procedure Is Performed

FaceTite is performed in Dr. Schwarcz’s private JCAHO-certified surgical suite in Manhattan. The procedure takes approximately 1 to 2 hours, depending on the number of areas treated. Patients receive local anesthesia combined with sedation to ensure comfort and safety throughout the procedure.

After a small incision is made (usually hidden beneath the chin or behind the ears), the FaceTite probe is inserted beneath the skin to deliver controlled radiofrequency energy to the treatment area. Simultaneously, any liquefied fat is gently removed with a small cannula, further improving contour.

Once the entire area has been treated, the incisions are closed with dissolvable sutures or Steri-Strips, and you’ll be fitted with a compression garment to wear during the initial healing phase.

Because the treatment is focused and the thermal energy promotes coagulation of small blood vessels, there is minimal bruising or trauma to the tissue—especially compared to traditional surgical lifting.

What to Expect During Recovery

The recovery from FaceTite is relatively short and mild compared to a surgical facelift. Most patients experience mild to moderate swelling and possible bruising for the first few days. A compression garment is typically worn for the first 3 to 5 days around the clock, and then at night for the next week or two, depending on Dr. Schwarcz’s guidance.

Most people return to work and normal activities within 5 to 7 days. While some initial improvement is visible immediately, the true magic of FaceTite happens gradually. Collagen production continues for 6 to 12 months after treatment, which means your results will subtly improve over time.

Patience pays off. The final results are well worth the wait—refined contours, firmer skin, and a smoother, more youthful jawline that still looks like you.

How Long Do Results Last?

The results of FaceTite can last five years or more, depending on your age, skin condition, and lifestyle. Because the treatment works by stimulating your body’s own collagen, it creates natural changes that continue to support youthful firmness over time.

To maintain your results, Dr. Schwarcz may recommend touch-up treatments with Morpheus8 or laser therapy, as well as a consistent skincare routine that includes sun protection and collagen-supportive products.

Complementary Procedures

FaceTite often works beautifully in combination with:

  • Morpheus8

  • Submental Liposuction

  • Facial Fat Transfer

  • Neck Lift

  • CO2 Laser Resurfacing

Alternative Procedures

If FaceTite isn’t right for you, or if you're looking for more conservative treatments, consider:

  • Morpheus8 alone for non-invasive skin tightening

  • Dermal Fillers for temporary volume restoration

  • Ultherapy or RF Microneedling for collagen stimulation without downtime

These alternatives can offer moderate improvements for patients with early signs of aging but won’t provide the same dramatic results as FaceTite.
