The Many Benefits of Dermal Fillers

With so many anti-aging skin care products and services on the market, one can find it confusing to find the treatment best suited for their needs. Dr. Robert Schwarcz offers different dermal fillers to his patients in New York. The following are a variety of facial fillers patient opt for to enhance their facial features and overall appearance. Facial fillers are a less invasive non-surgical approach for patients not readily able to commit to surgery.

Botox

Botox is a common non-surgical treatment used to medically treat certain muscular conditions. It’s proven to be safe, effective and economical for lines, wrinkles, and facial re-shaping. It is commonly used around the eyes, forehead, and to hide frown and smile lines around the mouth and nose.

Juvederm, Perlane & Restylane

Juvederm is an injectable gel used to instantly add volume to the cheek area. It gives a more subtle lift, as it restores contour for a youthful profile. Perlane is a non-permanent and natural treatment. It decreases deep wrinkles, and reduces fine lines around the nose, and other facial skin depressions. Restylane is an injectable gel of hyaluronic acid that is used to reduce the appearance of folds and wrinkles all over the face and has also been FDA approved for injection into the lips. Restylane is primarily used to improve the lipline, lip shape and add fullness to the lips.

Radiesse

Radiesse is a volumizing filler that works immediately for instant results. Once injected, Radiesse adds the volume and lift needed to diminish the signs of aging in the face. The results typically last for about a year for most patients.

Sculptra

Sculptra works gradually in a series of injectable treatments stretched out over a period of a few months. It treats the underlying cause of aging, the loss of collagen. During the course of the treatments, collagen is replaced in the mid to lower face and chin area. Most of these facial fillers can be combined with Botox.

It can be difficult to determine which dermal filler treatment is appropriate for you, depending on your goals. We encourage you to schedule a consultation with your cosmetic surgeon to ensure you have the necessary information to move forward.
