Fat Transfer (Fat Injection):

Attractive Female Model It has been shown that many of the changes in the aging face are attributed to loss of volume. These areas are first noticed around the eyes and mouth providing a less youthful look.

By utilizing liposuction techniques, fat can be harvested from one part of the body, and injected with a blunt needle into another area to create additional volume, correct contour defects, or just provide an overall youthful look.

Unlike synthetic fillers, autologous (your own) fat has the potential to stay for many years, until it is metabolized by the body. Depending on the area about 60% will remain for many years, and 40% will be absorbed in 4 months. Most patients admit that unlike other synthetic fillers, fat has a more natural look and feel to it. The most common areas filled are the mid-face, around the eyes and mouth. The procedure is very often performed in conjunction with standard face-lifting and mid-face-lifting procedures, or alone depending on the preoperative appearance of the face. Postoperatively there is usually swelling for up to one week and virtually no scars are visible. Fat transfer to the face could allow for a fuller and more youthful looking face.
